Boiler & Hydronic Technician — Kamas / Park City
Radiant heat, boilers and snowmelt — the specialist work this market runs on, and there are not many people who do it well.
- ScheduleFull-time, year-round
- LevelSpecialist / Lead
- Based inKamas, UT — serving Park City, Heber & the Wasatch Back
The role
About this job
Radiant floors, boilers and snowmelt are not a sideline in the Wasatch Back — they are how these homes stay livable through winter. If you know hydronics, you are one of a small number of people in this valley who can do this work, and it is the work we are busiest with.
You will take on the systems other shops hand off: multi-zone radiant, mixing and manifolds, snowmelt controls, boiler replacements and commissioning. There is room here to be the person who owns this side of the business.
What you’ll do
- Service, repair, replace and commission boilers
- Troubleshoot multi-zone radiant and hydronic systems, manifolds and mixing
- Install and service snowmelt systems and their controls
- Diagnose control, circulator and zoning faults
- Set up and tune systems for high-altitude operation
- Mentor other technicians on hydronic work
What you need
- Real boiler and hydronic experience — service, not just install
- Comfortable with controls, zoning, circulators and mixing assemblies
- Able to work through an unfamiliar system methodically
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Nice to have
- Snowmelt system experience
- High-end residential / custom-home experience
- Willingness to lead and train others
Don’t tick every box? Apply anyway. We would rather teach the right person than wait for a perfect one.
What you get
Why work at Eastin Mechanical
Year-round work
Boilers, radiant and snowmelt carry the winter; new-construction installs and cooling carry the summer. This is not seasonal resort work — the schedule does not disappear in the shoulder season.
Based in Kamas — no commute over the pass
We work out of Kamas and serve the Wasatch Back. If you live in the Kamas Valley, Heber or Oakley, you are already here — no I-80 canyon crawl and no driving in from the valley every morning.
Work you can be proud of
Custom mountain homes, done to a standard that holds up at altitude. Our work gets looked at — by homeowners, by builders, and by whoever opens the mechanical-room door next.
A small crew, not a call center
You work directly with the owner. Decisions get made in the field by the person doing the work, and good work is noticed by the people who can do something about it.
Learn systems most techs never touch
Radiant, boilers, snowmelt, zoning and controls. Hydronic skill is scarce and valuable in this valley — the techs who have it are the ones who get called first and paid accordingly.
A real path, apprentice to journeyman
Start as a helper, learn the trade on real jobs, and move up as your skills do. We would rather grow a good technician than keep hiring for the same seat.
