HVAC Service Technician
Diagnose and repair heating, cooling and hydronic systems in high-end mountain homes — with a stocked truck and no commute over the pass.
Now hiring
We're hiring technicians and apprentices to work on the heating, cooling and hydronic systems in some of the best homes in the Wasatch Back. Year-round work, out of Kamas — no commute over the pass.
Why Eastin
Eastin Mechanical is a mechanical contractor in Kamas, Utah, working across Park City, Heber and the Wasatch Back. We install and service heating and cooling systems, and we do the hydronic work this market actually runs on — boilers, radiant floor heat and snowmelt — in custom mountain homes where the work gets looked at.
We are a small crew. That means you work directly with the owner, you are trusted to make the call in the field, and nobody’s good work disappears into a dispatch queue. It also means we care a great deal about who we hire.
If you are a technician who wants to be busy year-round without driving in from the valley every morning, or you want into the trade and are willing to be taught, we would like to hear from you.
What you get
The things about this job that are true before anyone talks about a number.
Boilers, radiant and snowmelt carry the winter; new-construction installs and cooling carry the summer. This is not seasonal resort work — the schedule does not disappear in the shoulder season.
We work out of Kamas and serve the Wasatch Back. If you live in the Kamas Valley, Heber or Oakley, you are already here — no I-80 canyon crawl and no driving in from the valley every morning.
Custom mountain homes, done to a standard that holds up at altitude. Our work gets looked at — by homeowners, by builders, and by whoever opens the mechanical-room door next.
You work directly with the owner. Decisions get made in the field by the person doing the work, and good work is noticed by the people who can do something about it.
Radiant, boilers, snowmelt, zoning and controls. Hydronic skill is scarce and valuable in this valley — the techs who have it are the ones who get called first and paid accordingly.
Start as a helper, learn the trade on real jobs, and move up as your skills do. We would rather grow a good technician than keep hiring for the same seat.
Open positions
Not sure which one fits? Apply anyway and say so — we would rather talk to a good person about the wrong job than miss them.
Diagnose and repair heating, cooling and hydronic systems in high-end mountain homes — with a stocked truck and no commute over the pass.
Install complete heating and cooling systems in new custom homes and replacements — work you can point at years later and still be proud of.
Radiant heat, boilers and snowmelt — the specialist work this market runs on, and there are not many people who do it well.
No experience needed. Show up, work hard and pay attention — we will teach you a trade you can build a life on.

Where you’d work
Most trades crews serving Park City drive in — up the canyon from Salt Lake, or over the pass every morning in winter. We don’t. We work out of Kamas, and the homes we service are in the Kamas Valley, Park City, Heber, Oakley, Francis and Midway.
Coming from out of the area? Housing in Summit County is genuinely expensive and tight — we won’t pretend otherwise. Tell us in your application where you’d plan to live and we’ll be straight with you about it.
Where it goes
Hydronic skill is scarce in this valley. The technicians who have it are the ones who get called first — and we would rather grow one than keep hiring for the same seat.
You start as a helper on installs and service calls — learning tools, materials, systems and how to carry yourself in a customer's home. No experience required.
You start running work yourself: service calls, diagnostics, installs. You pick up the hydronic side — boilers, radiant, snowmelt — that most techs never get near.
You own the hard jobs, make the call in the field, and train the person who started where you did. In a small shop that happens on your timeline, not a corporate ladder's.
How to apply
No resume required and no account to create. Tell us who you are and what you’ve worked on, and we’ll call you if there’s a fit. You can also just call or text (435) 350-1818.
Good to know
Both. We hire experienced service and install technicians, and we hire apprentices with no HVAC experience at all. If you are reliable, willing to learn and good in a customer's home, apply for the apprentice role — we will teach you the trade.
Year-round. Winter is boilers, radiant heat and snowmelt; summer is new-construction installs and cooling. That mix is deliberate — it is what keeps the schedule full in a market where a lot of trades work slows down between seasons.
We work out of Kamas and serve Park City, Heber, Oakley, Francis, Midway and the surrounding Wasatch Back. If you live in the Kamas Valley or Heber, you skip the canyon commute that techs working for Park City and Salt Lake shops deal with every day.
For service work you need EPA 608 certification to handle refrigerant. Utah licensing is held at the company level for contracting work, so you do not need your own contractor license to work as a technician. NATE certification is a plus, not a requirement.
A wide range — furnaces, heat pumps and air conditioning, plus the hydronic side this market runs on: boilers, radiant floor heat, snowmelt, zoning and controls. Techs who come from forced-air-only shops usually find the hydronic work is the most interesting part.
Yes — we would like to hear from you. Be aware that housing in Summit County is genuinely expensive and tight, so tell us in your application where you would plan to live and we will be straight with you about what that looks like.
You start assisting on installs and service calls, learning tools, systems and how to work in a customer's home. As you pick it up you take on more of the work yourself, then start running your own calls. How fast that happens is mostly up to you.
Fill out the form on this page — it does not ask for a resume. Tell us what you have worked on and we will take it from there. You can also just call or text us; plenty of good technicians have never written a resume in their life.
