Cooling in the mountains is a different problem than cooling in the desert. Summers up here are short and the nights cool off, but the high-altitude sun is intense and south- and west-facing rooms with big windows can heat up fast in the afternoon. The goal is comfort without overkill — a system sized for how our summers actually behave, not a valley-sized unit that short-cycles and never dehumidifies.

We install and replace central air conditioning and high-efficiency cooling, and we can talk through whether a heat pump makes sense for your home — a modern heat pump can handle cooling in summer and add efficient heating in the shoulder seasons from the same equipment.

Right-sizing is everything with cooling. An oversized AC blasts cold, satisfies the thermostat quickly, and shuts off before it has evened out the temperature across the house, leaving some rooms cold and others warm. We size systems to the home so they run longer, gentler cycles that keep the whole house evenly comfortable.
